PHP is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Santa Cruz, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Unit Notes:- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab - Float to OCU

• # of Suites: 2 suites; 4-14 cases per day
• Certs: BLS, ACLS for nurses; techs also need CVT, RT, CA Fluro.
• Ratios: 1 to 1
• EMR: Techs will scrub and do hemodynamic monitoring; nurses do sedation monitoring
• Charge Nurse: Yes, no patients
• Nurse Aides: No, do use cath lab techs for scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring
• Weekend Requirement: Call twice a month on weekends
• Call: Twice a month
• Holidays: Rotate w/ perm staff
• Scrub Color: Provided by hospital
• Tele: N/A
• Vents: N/A
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Cardiologist
• IV Team: Nurses start own
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• Shifts: Business hour shifts and then call for coverage
• Floating: Float to OCU
• Floor specific orientation: Depends on experience and if a nurse or a tech
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: STEMI, TAVERS, interventional and diagnostic caths, TAVR, EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair), cardio mams, no IR, implants
• Additional Notes: Techs will scrub and do hemodynamic monitoring; nurses do sedation monitoring; RNs need concious sedation testing as part of protocol
  
  

Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks
