Job summary

Horizon Health, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, seeks a Travel Therapist to design and implement therapeutic activities for behavioral health patients at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. The role runs for 13 weeks with full-time hours and payed travel accommodations.

Responsibilities include individual/group sessions, progress documentation, and collaboration with the care team to ensure effective treatment plans and discharge strategies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: CTRS certification or related therapies credentials (e.g., Registered Art/Music/Dance Therapist) may be considered.
• Experience: Two or more years of activity therapy experience, preferably in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic activities for patients based on assessments and referrals.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to treatment and progress towards goals.
• Conduct individual and/or group sessions per state/regulatory standards.
• Provide education, resources, and support for patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure appropriate modalities for each patient.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation timely per policies.
• Assist in developing and updating the Master Treatment Plan.
• Work in a team to ensure suitable treatment modalities for each patient.
• Provide group educational therapies using established techniques and methods.
