Job summary

Dominion Energy in Richmond, VA is seeking an Unmanned Systems Operator I to support routine and rapid response of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) inspections across the company footprint. This position is based in Richmond, VA with frequent travel, up to 76-100%, and requires safety-first operation of UAVs in varied outdoor environments.

Applicants should have 2+ years of land surveying experience, an active 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of land surveying experience required.
• Must hold a valid 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level.

Responsibilities

• Operate unmanned aircraft systems with a safety-first mindset.
• Develop flight plans, check NOTAMs and weather, and coordinate airspace use.
• Perform pre-mission briefs and post-flight reviews.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles and UAVs as required.
• Travel frequently across the Dominion Energy footprint (76-100%).
