Health First Community Health Center in Owensboro, KY is hiring a Receptionist/Patient Relations Float to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves greeting patients, verifying information, collecting payments, and guiding registrants through the check‑in process, with coverage across multiple clinics as needed.

The position offers a Monday–Friday day shift with mileage reimbursement for travel outside of your base location, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; one year of related work experience.
• Excellent guest service, communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to undergo a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in/out, verify information.
• Schedule and manage follow-up appointments.
• Balance cash drawer and tally copays.
• Run end-of-day reports for scanners and credit card machines.
• Scan and file patient information in the EMR system.
• Monitor waiting area and patient flow.
• Answer incoming calls and take accurate messages.
• Provide coverage for other staff as needed.
