Hunt Electric, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Licensed Journeyman Lineman to join our team.

The role requires interpretation of electrical plans, pole and tower climbing, and work on high-voltage systems up to 230kV. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed a certified Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program (copy of certificated required).
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with ability to meet all DOT requirements.
• Must be able to pass a Drug and Background Check
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified or possess the ability to obtain such certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must be willing to Travel for extend periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical plans and prints, stand for extended periods, work with both hands, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Climb poles and towers and perform URD installations on energized high-voltage systems up to 230kV.
• Provide on-the-job training to apprentices and crew members in maintenance and construction of power lines.
• Identify primary and secondary voltage, understand induced voltage and proper grounding procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain company equipment and tools in good working order.
• Conduct pre-job or tailboard briefings and work safely in a team environment.
