Job summary

MPW Industrial Services is seeking a dependable Technician to support industrial and environmental cleaning operations across customer worksites. This role involves hands-on use of specialized tools and equipment to safely and efficiently complete cleaning projects in demanding environments.

You will follow safety policies, set up jobsite equipment, and operate water blasting tools, vacuums, and other tooling.

Qualifications

• Valid government-issued ID required to access customer worksites.
• Prior experience in industrial, mechanical, or maintenance environments preferred.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with tools or heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in varying conditions including extreme temperatures, dust, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Follow MPW health and safety policies and procedures.
• Report to assigned branch or jobsite on time, in proper uniform.
• Set up jobsite equipment including water blast hoses, vacuum hoses, barricades, and safety tags.
• Operate water blasting tools, including guns and lances, for industrial cleaning.
• Handle dry and wet vacuum hoses for debris removal and environmental cleaning.
• Use manual tools such as shovels and picks to assist with debris removal.
• Operate automated tooling and specialized cleaning equipment as required.
• Assist in the safe operation of aerial platform lifts and other access equipment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings in active industrial environments.
• Clean and inspect tools and equipment before returning them to the branch location.
• Support team members in completing tasks efficiently and safely.
• Adapt to varying jobsite conditions and customer requirements.
• Follow scheduling processes and remain flexible to meet operational needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
