Job summary

The Louisiana Special School District seeks an Exceptional Student Services Support Facilitator to coordinate IEPs, support evaluation teams, and advocate for students with disabilities in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Must hold a valid Louisiana SPED teaching certificate, a master’s degree, and at least five years of SPED experience. Statewide travel and driving are required to collaborate with districts, families, and schools to ensure compliant services.

Qualifications

• Louisiana teaching certificate with special education certification required.
• Master's degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience in Special Education with knowledge of evaluating reports and IEP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Serve as a facilitator at IEP conferences and liaise with programs and evaluation teams.
• Advocate for students and coordinate with related services and agencies.
• Provide staff training on IEP development and best practices in SPED.
• Review data from multiple sources to monitor progress and district goals.
• Utilize data management to support district stability and student growth.
