Job summary

Q-Lab Corporation is seeking a Field Repair Technician to service and repair lab instruments across North America. Expect ~50% travel, with on-site reporting to our Westlake, OH HQ when not traveling.

Candidate must reside within 60 miles of Westlake, OH and hold an electrical or mechanical qualification with apprenticeship plus 5 years of experience. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, repair skills, and strong communication to provide on-site or remote guidance to customers.

Qualifications

• Must have recognized electrical or mechanical qualification with an apprenticeship and 5+ years work experience.
• Experience with technical equipment, preferably in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and manuals.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally, ~50% annually, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment and test mechanical/electronic systems for root causes.
• Perform hands-on repair and test assemblies for conformance per manufacturer specs.
• Travel domestically and internationally to provide repair support; report to HQ when not traveling.
