Job summary

Phillips Staffing seeks an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Greenville, SC team. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems on locomotives, and travel to customer sites across the US and Canada for service and support.

The role requires 3–4 years of experience, degrees in electrical/mechanical fields, and willingness to travel. You’ll work from our Greenville location with focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with low-voltage AC/DC, 480 VAC three-phase, VFDs, PLCs and relay logic, pneumatics, motors and generators.
• Willingness to travel across the United States and Canada; passport preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years in industrial manufacturing and diesel mechanic experience.
• Familiarity with locomotive systems and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as VFDs, motors, generators.
• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes and air systems.
• Assist with assembly of new locomotives in the shop.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in shop and at customer sites.
• Provide technical support to customers over the phone and onsite.
• Travel to customer facilities for locomotive service and repairs.
