Job summary

ATS Automation is seeking a Controls Design Engineer in Ohio to lead the design, programming, and commissioning of automated systems for global deployments.

You will work with PLCs, robotics, motion controllers, and vision systems, traveling to customer sites as needed to install and support projects. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential for success in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in mechanical, electrical, systems, or computer engineering preferred.
• Strong PLC programming and robotics control experience.
• Hands-on experience with control systems and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC/PC-based software for customers and projects.
• Debug and commission control systems on-site and at our facility.
• Select, test, and integrate hardware and software components (robots, sensors, vision, lasers).
• Collaborate with teams to improve methods, safety, functionality, and cost.
