Job summary

Commercial Steel Erection, Inc. seeks a full-time Mechanic in Roanoke responsible for repairing, setting up, assembling, and maintaining all types of construction equipment owned by the company. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires travel as needed.

Candidate should have 1–3 years of related experience, ASE certification preferred, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen with a valid driver's license. OSHA rules and site regulations must be followed.

Qualifications

• One to three years related experience and/or training.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Must be able to travel.
• Valid driver's license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Repair, set up, assemble, adjust, and maintain construction equipment.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and required repairs on fixed and mobile equipment.
• Assemble, set up, adjust, maintain, and repair vehicles, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and cranes.
• Perform major and minor repairs on company vehicles; service with fuel, oil, air, water, and fluids; rotate tires.
• Use cutting torch, brazes and welds as necessary.
• Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing equipment safely and productively.
• Follow OSHA rules and site-specific regulations.
