Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in food- and nutrition-related field
• Current state licensure or certification (as required by state)
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• At least one year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Nutrition assessments and reassessments, identify goals and interventions, monitor progress
• Develop and monitor enteral and parenteral nutrition support regimens with pharmacy and medical staff
• Provide thorough medical record documentation
• Collaborate with Speech Therapy on diet progression and transitional feeding
• Educate patients, families, and staff on nutrition
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and performance improvement activities
• Review menus and diet manual updates; approve substitutions
• Conduct meal rounds and tray audits to verify diet accuracy and quality
• Maintain current professional registration and pursue continuing education

Dietitian, Dietitian Fort Wayne. The Dietitian provides quality nutritional care through the development, implementation, and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapy. Responsibilities include conducting nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, coordinating nutrition support, educating patients and staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, effective patient care.

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with major studies in a food- and nutrition-related field.
