Trailblazer Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel X-Ray Technologist in Roanoke, Virginia. The role focuses on diagnostic radiography, patient safety, and collaboration with physicians to provide high-quality imaging during travel assignments.

Expect 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and 13-week duration. ARRT (Radiography) certification, active state license, and BLS are required along with DR/CR and PACS proficiency.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical X-ray experience in hospital or acute care.
• Active ARRT Certification in Radiography (R).
• Active state radiologic technologist license or permit where applicable.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Proficiency with digital radiography, C-arm OR equipment, and PACS software.

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures (general, orthopedic, trauma, or emergency imaging) per physician orders.
• Position patients and use radiation protection to ensure safe, low-dose imaging (ALARA).

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable X-Ray Technologist / Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate diagnostic X-ray equipment to capture high-quality radiographic images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures including general, orthopedic, trauma, and emergency imaging according to physician orders
• Position patients accurately and utilize proper radiation protection equipment (ALARA principles) to ensure safe, low-dose imaging
• Operate portable/mobile X-ray units and C-arms in hospital units, surgery suites, and emergency rooms as needed
• Prepare and transmit digital imaging files via PACS/RIS systems while maintaining precise medical records
• Assess patient condition, explain procedures clearly, and maintain a comforting, compassionate clinical environment
• Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and adhere to all infection control and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a hospital or acute care facility
• Certification: Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
• Licensure: Active state radiologic technologist license or state permit (where applicable)
• Certifications: Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Skills: Proficient with digital radiography (DR/CR systems), C-arm operating room equipment, and PACS software
