The position involves performing XR and C-arm fluoroscopy studies, using Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS, and working in a 5-room acute care radiology department. Typical shifts are 3x12 hours with possible weekend/holiday coverage and no call or IV starts.

American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience required
• ARRT and BLS certification required
• WV state license required if applicable
• Experience with C-arm and fluoroscopy required
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care radiology department with 5 scanner/rooms
• Performs XR and OR/C-arm fluoroscopy studies
• Average of 400 scans/studies performed per day
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS system
• Equipment includes Toshiba Rad Rooms, Carestream portables, and OEC C-arms
• Radiologist coverage in-house 24/7 with residents
• 3x12 hour day shifts
• Weekend and possible holiday coverage required
• No floating to other departments required
• No call or standby requirement
• No IV starts required
• Scrubs provided
• Department-specific orientation provided
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates are not accepted
• Previous perm staff and travelers must have a 2-year break before returning to this facility system
• Travelers are limited to a 1-year cumulative assignment length within the WVU system before requiring a 2-year break
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency as the facility does not supply one
