Responsibilities

• Radiology department with multiple rooms and clinics handled by the tech
• Average caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per day
• Treats inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural patients across ages
• Fluoro procedures include ERCPs, bronchoscopies, urology cases
• OR coverage includes ortho, general, spine; comfort with O-arm preferred
• Uses GE, Fuji, Del Medical X-ray, PACS, and various C-arms; EPIC EMR used
• 8-hour night shift, Monday–Friday with weekend rotation
• One on-call shift per week with rotating times

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of acute or surgical experience and ARRT certification.

Requirements

• ARRT certification, WI state license, and BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of acute or surgical experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in radiology, with most recent experience within the last year
• Surgical/procedure, general, and portable X-ray experience required
• Mid-to-high level hospital experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Candidate's middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Radiology department with 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, clinic with 2 diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room
• Average caseload of 15-20 patients per tech per day
• Treats inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural patients across all age ranges with minimal pediatric cases
• Fluoro procedures include ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases
• OR coverage includes ortho, general, and spine cases, with preference for comfort using O-arm equipment
• Uses GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray equipment, McKesson PACS, GE 9900 and Elite C-arms, and Medtronic O-arms
• EPIC EMR used
• 8-hour night shift, Monday-Friday, with every other weekend rotation (Friday and Saturday nights)
• One on-call shift per week with rotating call times (0630-1400, 1400-2230, or 2230-0630)
• One day off during the week leading into a work weekend and one day off the week following
• One holiday coverage required per contract
• No floating required, though floating start times of 2130 or 2200 may apply
• Support includes a lead tech on 1st shift, on-site radiologist 24/7, RT coverage 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7
• Staffing includes 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, and 3 on third shift
• Orientation includes facility-wide NEO plus 7 days in department
• Fast-paced unit with high patient acuity
• Surgery scrubs provided in house
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on skill level and surgical/procedure experience
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius rules
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
• Time off requests must be approved through the manager
