Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a general diagnostic radiology role requiring ARRT certification and proficiency in portable imaging.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited Radiologic Sciences degree or equivalent, maintain registry status with CE requirements, and be able to work in a hospital environment with a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule, no weekends or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required
• ARRT certification in Radiography required
• Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
• No prior experience required
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Proficient in portable imaging and able to float to outpatient areas as needed
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• Must be able to work hospital holidays if needed
• Utilizes RIS, CIS, PACS, HIS, and SMS systems
• Responsible for performing quality radiographic imaging in accordance with departmental protocols and policies
• Verifies patient identity, history, and pregnancy status prior to administering ionizing radiation
• Assesses patient condition and develops appropriate action plans for examinations
• Documents procedure completion and cancellations in RIS, ensuring images are properly transmitted and verified in PACS
• Troubleshoots imaging equipment and reports issues to appropriate resources
• Shares technical knowledge with employees and students within the work unit
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and documents incidents as needed
