Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Saint Helena, California. The Rad Tech will perform imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and coordinate with physicians. Ideal candidates have ARRT(R), BLS, and state licensing; one year of experience required.

The role offers 40 hours per week with a travel stipend; benefits are provided through TotalMed Allied. This temporary travel position requires the ability to stand for long periods and to operate imaging

Qualifications

Responsibilities

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Saint Helena, California.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Saint Helena, CA. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
