Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Toledo, Ohio. The role requires 1 year of Rad Tech experience, BLS, ARRT(R) certification, and state licensing where applicable.

You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure accurate images are transmitted to physicians for interpretation. The position covers 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, for a 13-week travel assignment with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as Radiology Technologist or Rad Tech.
• BLS and ARRT(R) certification; state licensure when required.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and handle radiologic procedures.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and produce quality images for interpretation.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to capture required views.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use McKesson PACS.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Toledo, Ohio.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Toledo, OH. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
