Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of diagnostic radiography experience to perform imaging in a hospital setting. Position requires ARRT registration, BLS, CRASE training if needed, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with patient transfers using proper technique.

The role is based in Boardman, Oregon, on a day shift (4x10-hour shifts, Mon-Thu, 7:45 AM–6:15 PM) for a 13-week contract, with travel housing allowance, and licensure/fees reimbursements.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registration required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • CRASE training required (required if assignment extends beyond 6 months).
  • License required if applicable.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with patient transfers over 100 lbs using proper technique or mechanical aids.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Imaging department at the Boardman location.
  • Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM.
  • 13-week contract assignment.
  • Performs diagnostic radiography procedures including patient prep, positioning, and equipment operation.
  • May assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and contrast media administration per state statute and institutional policy.
  • Responsible for corroborating patient clinical history and documenting information for use by licensed practitioners.
  • Prepares and instructs patients to minimize anxiety and ensure successful procedure completion.
  • Evaluates radiographic images for technical quality and proper identification.
  • Practices aseptic technique as needed during procedures.
  • Participates in required education for DNV programs applicable to the position.
  • Agency staff floated only after qualified in the receiving department, with core staff floated first per policy.
  • Fast-paced hospital environment with exposure to infectious materials and emergency situations requiring use of PPE.
