Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification - Required
• California Radiologic Technologist license (RT) - Required
• Fluoroscopy license in California (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) - Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Required
• Minimum two years of recent radiology tech experience, including portable and C-arm work
• Education: Associate degree in radiologic technology (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs as ordered by physicians
• Position and instruct patients prior to examinations; adjust exposure parameters to obtain quality images
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment; ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging
• Perform imaging procedures, including portable radiography and C-arm imaging as needed
• Verify and document imaging exams in the PACS; communicate pertinent information to radiologists and physicians
• Maintain equipment and verify safety protocols; adhere to radiation safety and infection control practices
