Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia. The role is an 18-week assignment with 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and a travel employment type.

The Radiation Therapist will administer treatments, ensure safety, and collaborate with the care team in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has at least one year of Radiation Therapist experience, current BLS, and ARRT (T) certification; state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Radiology/Radiation Therapist experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (T) certification.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients.
• Position patients accurately for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity.
• Operate imaging modalities to guide treatment delivery.
• Monitor patients for safety and comfort during therapy.
• Document treatment details and maintain records.
• Communicate with physicians and dosimetrists and team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and potential side effects.
• Inspect and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols.
