American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a travel assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. You will work in the radiology department of a teaching hospital, performing radiologic procedures and collaborating with the team on patient care.

Requires ARRT (R) certification, BLS, and MA license if applicable. Must have own vehicle, remain current with radiology CE, and be prepared for on-call and holiday coverage. 4x10 hour shifts, 40 hours per week, start Nov 23 2026.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray with 2+ years experience and ARRT (R) certification for a teaching hospital's radiology department.

Details

• Work in the radiology department of a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Must be willing to work in the OR
• Five 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Every other weekend required with potential holiday coverage
• On-call requirements apply
• Uses PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems including CR, DR, and PACS applications
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience with 1 year current experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• MA Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Must demonstrate excellent patient care skills
• Must maintain current continuing education in radiology and mammography

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to facilitate diagnosis
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager
• May supervise or instruct department personnel as determined by leadership
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with OSHA standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Attend annual mandatory education on bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
• Must work two holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the assignment, with all requests finalized at time of submission
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• First-time travelers will be considered
