Travel Rad Tech

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rad Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Houston, Texas. Required Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current Radiologic Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current ARRT Certification.
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
Summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipment functionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver accurate and effective diagnostic results.

Essential Work Functions
  • Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions if they arise.
  • Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders.
  • Maintain equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place.
  • Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
  • Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions as needed.
  • Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records.
  • Follow hospital safety rules and procedures, including infection control and radiation safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice.
Required Essential Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
Physical Abilities
  • Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

  • Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) with a positive attitude and professionalism.
Technical/Motor Skills
  • Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

  • Coping with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Work under close supervision occasionally, and also independently.
  • Contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and maintain continuous concentration to detail.
