Travel Rad Tech

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rad Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Austin, Texas. Required Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Current Radiologic Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current ARRT Certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
  • Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions as needed
  • Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high‑quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
  • Maintain equipment and sterilize the procedure room
  • Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team
  • Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshoot issues and report malfunctions as needed
  • Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records
  • Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Motor Skills
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Can work under close supervision occasionally, as well as without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and maintain continuous concentration to detail
Sensory
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively
