Job Details: Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rad Tech for a 13‑week travel assignment in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Required Qualifications
- One year’s experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Current Radiologic Technologist / Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to produce high‑quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipment functionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic results.
Essential Work Functions
- Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions
- Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high‑quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
- Maintain equipment and sterilize the room in which procedures take place
- Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the health‑care team
- Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions as needed
- Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records
- Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures or using department equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, and maintain continuous concentration on detail
- Sensory: possess visual acuity and effective communication ability
