Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Radiation Therapist for a 14-week assignment in Rapid City, SD. The role requires a Radiation Therapy program completion, at least one year of experience, and a current BLS certification. You will work with a clinical team to deliver precise radiation treatments and ensure patient safety.

Formación

• Completed accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsabilidades

• Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription to ensure effective treatment and minimize exposure to healthy tissue.
• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to targeted body parts using radiation therapy equipment per safety protocols.
• Perform regular equipment checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper functionality.
• Review prescription, diagnosis, patient chart and identification for accuracy and compliance with the treatment plan.
• Follow radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Maintain records of dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions.
• Conduct treatment sessions independently under doctor guidance and long-term plan.
• Enter data into computer and adjust controls to operate equipment and dose.
• Observe and reassure patients during treatment and report unusual reactions to the physician.
• Performs other duties within Radiation Therapist practice as assigned.
