Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Kearney, Nebraska. You will administer targeted radiation therapy, position patients precisely, and operate treatment equipment while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining patient comfort.

Required qualifications include completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, at least one year of experience, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Prefer ARRT Certification and possibly other licenses.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription and safety guidelines.
• Administer prescribed doses of radiation using appropriate equipment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshoot as needed.
• Review prescription, diagnosis, and patient chart for accuracy and compliance.
• Follow radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Maintain records of dosages, equipment settings, and patient responses.
• Conduct treatment sessions independently under physician direction.
• Enter data into computer systems and adjust equipment controls.
• Observe patients during treatment and report adverse reactions.
• Perform other duties within Radiation Therapist scope.
