Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a hospital radiation oncology department in California. The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification and CA CRT license, with at least 2 years of experience, and is proficient with Epic charting, ARIA, and Eclipse planning systems.

The role includes CT simulation, treatment delivery, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards. This travel opportunity features a 5x8 schedule, housing assistance, per diems, and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• CA CRT license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with Treatment Units, ARIA, and Eclipse (Varian) planning systems
• Skilled in pretreatment procedures and radiation safety protocols
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

Responsibilities

• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekends, call, or floating required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Uses ARIA and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
• Performs CT simulation and simulation of treatment sites
• Accepts local candidates at a local rate
• Performs routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician treatment plans
• Works independently with sound clinical judgment to ensure safe and precise procedure delivery
• Builds trust and cooperation with patients and families through effective communication
• Adheres to all applicable regulations and safety protocols
• May orient other staff or perform specialized procedures
• Handles emergency cases as needed
• Limited to 1 holiday off per contract
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not considered
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return
