Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a 26-week assignment in Walla Walla, Washington. The therapist will administer prescribed radiation treatments and ensure safety, accuracy, and compassionate care for patients.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience, current BLS, ARRT (T) certification, and may require state licensure. The role offers 40 hours weekly, dayshift, and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT (T) certification required.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate with physicians, dosimetrists, and team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
