Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Travel Radiation Therapist for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 40 hours per week, days shift, and travel employment, with duties administering radiation treatments under a radiation oncologist's directions and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout therapy.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, current BLS, ARRT (T) certification, and state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (T) National Certification.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff.
