Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Radiation Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Eureka, CA. The role involves administering targeted radiation therapy, positioning patients with precision, and collaborating with radiologists and oncologists to ensure safe, effective treatments.

The position requires completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, one year of experience, and a current BLS. ARRT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist required.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ARRT Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription to minimize exposure to healthy tissue.
• Administer prescribed doses of radiation using equipment per safety protocols.
• Perform routine checks on radiation therapy equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Review prescriptions and patient charts for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff.
• Document dosages, equipment settings, and patient responses.
• Conduct treatment sessions under physician direction and according to the treatment plan.
• Enter data into computer systems to control equipment and dosage.
• Observe patients during treatment and report unusual reactions to physicians.
• Perform additional duties within Radiation Therapist scope as assigned.
