Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a Brownsville, Texas assignment. This 13-week travel position requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour days.

The Rad Tech will perform radiology procedures, ensure patient safety, position patients, manage imaging equipment, and maintain records. ARRT (R), BLS, and state licensing as required are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) Certification, and state licensing when required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and explain imaging procedures.
• Position patient and adjust imaging equipment as directed.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physicians.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Brownsville, Texas.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Brownsville, TX. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state‑specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
