Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment at a facility in The Dalles, Oregon. You will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and help patients improve mobility and independence in diverse clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the relevant state
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program is preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient sessions
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve mobility, strength and balance
• Document patient progress and treatment details in the medical record
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility
• Collaborate with PTs and other clinicians to coordinate patient care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards throughout therapy sessions
• Contribute to discharge planning for smooth transitions
• Perform other duties within scope of practice
