Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Mountain View, CA. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance functional independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with exercises, documenting progress, educating patients on home programs, and coordinating with the healthcare team to support recovery. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsabilités

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices are clean and ready for sessions.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve mobility and strength, with hands-on assistance as needed.
• Observe and report progress or concerns to supervising PT.
• Record patient treatment details and progress in the medical record.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Assist in discharge planning for community or home-based settings.
