Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care position. The role requires 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC or Rehab setting experience.

The position is a 13-week assignment with day shifts, Monday through Friday, start time between 6 AM and 10 AM, and no weekends or on-call duties. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision options, and travel or licensure support.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license required (if applicable).
• Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience required.
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required.
• New graduates considered with Level II clinical experience, not just Level I observation.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary PT-related treatments under supervision.
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments with supervising PT.
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic system.
• Participate in care conferences and training sessions.
• Supervise students under PT guidance when applicable.
• No weekend or on-call requirements; 13-week assignment.
