Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in West Des Moines, Iowa. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.

Read below for additional requirements. You will oversee supervising PTAs, support staff, bill within the setting, ensure compliance with PT board rules, interface with Medical Center staff to plan patient care, understand adaptive equipment,

Qualifications

• 1 year PT experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification required and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and understand anatomy and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Adhere to PT board rules and state regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel to ensure team-based care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate/create plans of care.
• Modify plans of care as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per guidelines.
