Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Carmichael, California. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

The role requires a PT license, BLS, and the ability to stand/walk for extended periods. The assignment lasts 13 weeks, with 40 hours/week and a days shift. Experience of 6 months is preferred, but 6 months may be considered for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new grads are welcome.
• Licensed Physical Therapist with BLS and state license.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and understand anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop a plan of care for diverse populations in acute care.
• Oversee PTAs and therapy staff; coordinate with Medical Center personnel.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines; ensure compliant documentation.
• Interface with physicians to maintain a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and use hospital systems for daily tasks.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes; execute the plan of care.
• Provide timely, accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
