Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an 8-week assignment in Springfield, Missouri. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for patients in the acute care setting, working 40 hours per week with day shifts.

Applicants should have 1 year of experience (6 months acceptable for exceptional backgrounds) and must hold BLS and state licensing. The role includes supervising PTAs and ensuring compliant documentation and billing practices.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Adhere to PT board rules and regulations in the state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians on care plans.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely, accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
