Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in Park Ridge, Illinois. The role requires 6 months of PT experience, BLS and state licensing, and involves supervising PTAs, treating patients, and coordinating with medical center staff.

The position runs for 13 weeks at 35 hours per week with a standard 8-hour day shift. Immediate start is available; travel flexibility may be required depending on assignment specifics.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PT should be able to stand and walk for long periods, with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility.
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
