Job summary

Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Ranger, Texas. This assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 40-hour workweek, shifts of 8 hours during the day, and a travel-friendly position in LTC settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience in a long-term care (LTC) setting.
• Active Texas or compact state PT license.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess and diagnose patient movement and functional activity deficits.
• Develop individualized, patient-centered treatment plans to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• Perform patient evaluations, including history-taking, systems review, and relevant tests/measures.
• Establish plans of care and select treatments per evaluation findings and physician orders.
• Conduct ongoing reassessment and modify treatments as needed.
• Initiate and manage discharge planning from the first visit throughout care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff and students in accordance with state laws and policy.
• Complete accurate, legible, and timely documentation per department and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
• Assess and provide education to patients and their support systems as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and educational opportunities.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, adhering to safety standards.
• Practice within the legal scope of physical therapy as defined by the state.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
