Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Carmichael, CA. Start date is 11/30/2026 and you’ll work 40 hours per week with days shifts in a hospital or clinic setting.

You will evaluate, plan, and implement treatments to improve mobility and reduce pain, documenting progress and coordinating with the care team. Travel roles offer competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to work in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests and history to identify functional limitations
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
• Implement treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain using exercise and manual therapy
• Operate and maintain PT equipment and modalities, ensuring safety and calibration
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Participate in quality assurance and ongoing professional development
• Assist with discharge planning for smooth transitions to home or community settings
