Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment. The PT will evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting, working 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, coordinating with physicians and center staff, and maintaining compliant documentation and billing practices. BLS and state licensing are required; new grads encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• BLS and state-specific licensing required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.
• Use hospital computer systems and ensure timely documentation.
