Job summary

STO Building Group in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring installed work follows plans and specifications. You will review plans, analyze value and constructability, and coordinate with architects and trades to optimize costs and schedules.

The role involves attending meetings, producing weekly progress reports, updating schedules, and supporting bid activities. Strong communication, safety awareness, and basic Spanish ability are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Good written and oral communication skills; expresses ideas clearly in writing and speaking.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work meets plans and specifications.
• Reviews plans for value analysis, constructability, and material appropriateness; communicates with architect.
• Attends and notes project meetings, distributes minutes, publishes weekly progress reports.
• Updates project schedules and assists in bidding and scope development for trades.
• Works with superintendent to establish milestones, review shop drawings, and ensure timely installation.
• Maintains logs of shop drawings, clarifications, change requests, and requests for information.
• Assists with field procedures, concrete pours, and coordination testing.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and reports unsafe activities.
