Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Wichita, Kansas. This role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

The assignment is for 13 weeks with 48 hours per week, on 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities include providing bedside care to critical cardiac patients and performing necessary medical tasks. TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Wichita, Kansas. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 48 hours per week, on 12‑hour night shifts. 1–2 years recent acute care experience is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start intravenous lines.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicates adverse symptomatology.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 1–2 years acute care experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift at least 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Strong stress‑management skills and the ability to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay based on 12‑hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend to be determined. Weekly payment and guaranteed hours are provided.
