Job Summary

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a 15-bed unit that manages patients requiring close monitoring and treatment. The role includes supporting cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients, utilizing advanced telemetry skills, and collaborating with a skilled team in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Days
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 1 year of nursing experience, proficiency in telemetry monitoring, experience titrating vasoactive medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, dobutamine; ACLS certification; BLS certification; Strong cardiovascular and vascular surgery care skills; Experience with arterial lines, Flo-Tracs, temporary pacing, and chest tube management; Ability to support patients with equipment including GE monitors, Hamilton Bipap, Hiflo, Baxter IV Pumps, Hemospheres; Experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with skills in arterial lines, Flo-Tracs, temporary pacing, and chest tube procedures will be prioritized.
• Additional Information: Floating will be on a rotation basis with travelers floating first. The unit uses advanced monitoring technology and supports a mobility team. Staff are supported by experienced colleagues working with new equipment and technology.
