American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Night Shift Trauma Care Stepdown (PCU/Telemetry) in Asheville, NC. 13-week contract, 36 hours per week with 12-hour nights. Must hold NC or compact RN license and have 1+ year of stepdown/telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) not expiring within 30 days of start date.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Trauma Care Stepdown (PCU/telemetry) position, requiring a current NC or compact RN license and at least one year of recent stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Trauma Care Stepdown unit (PCU/Telemetry) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes trauma stepdown cases
• Night shifts scheduled from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Provide nursing care to trauma stepdown patients utilizing advanced monitoring and clinical skills
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• First time travelers will be considered
• Orientation and unit-specific training will be provided at start
• Candidates must submit copies of required certifications and official license verification for consideration

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in Progressive Care/Stepdown or Telemetry
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required, with no certification expiring within the first 30 days of the contract
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
