ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia. The RN will care for patients undergoing anesthesia recoveries and sedation, in a unit focusing on cardiac cases.

Typically 12-hour shifts across 3 shifts per week, with 36 hours total. 13-week contract, with benefits and support from ARMStaffing committed to employee care and onboarding.

Qualifications

• This position requires 1 year of PACU experience; cardiac experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients in pre-operative, Phase 1, and Phase 2 recovery with emphasis on cardiac cases.
• Maintain nurse-patient ratios: Pre-op 1:3, Phase 1 1:2, Phase 2 1:3.
• Administer sedation and monitor recovery from anesthesia.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the HVI Pre Post unit will provide care for patients undergoing anesthesia recoveries and sedation. The role involves monitoring and managing patient recovery in both pre-operative and post-anesthesia environments. The unit supports various heart and vascular procedures, and a strong focus on cardiac experience is preferred.
