Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Post-Partum RN for a 12-week assignment in Topeka, Kansas. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and includes 48 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts. Travel candidates must hold BLS and NRP and be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience for Post-Partum RN.
• BLS and NRP required; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comfortable, safe environment for mother and infant.
• Provide basic newborn care and assess mother/newborn health.
• Assist mother with hygienic needs and monitor postpartum bleeding.
• Inspect C-section incision when applicable.
• Monitor mother's emotional status and provide support.
• Educate mother on infant care including feeding, bathing and diaper changing.
