Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in Topeka, Kansas. This position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, featuring night shifts. Immediate Travel RN opportunity with required Post Partum/Mother-Baby expertise and 1-2 years of acute care experience.

The role involves caring for mothers and newborns, educating families on infant care, and maintaining a safe hospital environment while managing postpartum needs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience.
• BLS, NRP, and additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comfortable, safe and clean environment for mother and infant.
• Provide basic newborn care and assess mother and newborn for concerns.
• Assist mother with hygienic needs; monitor post-partum bleeding.
• Inspect C-section incision when applicable.
• Monitor emotional status of mother and provide support.
• Educate mother on infant care (feeding, bathing, diaper changing).
