Job Summary

Polysomnographer Carlsbad, New Mexico. The position performs diagnostic sleep studies, monitors polysomnographic data, applies therapeutic interventions, and supports accurate scoring and reporting for physician review. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks on night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; New Mexico licensure; at least 2 years of experience.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing and calibrating sleep laboratory equipment, applying electrodes and sensors, conducting physiological calibrations, performing Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT), and oxygen titration, fitting positive airway pressure (PAP) masks, monitoring data quality, scoring sleep stages and clinical events, documenting procedures, administering patient-specific PAP, bi‑level PAP, and oxygen interventions, and providing age‑specific patient care. No on‑call coverage or floating is required.
